Edwin
Miller

I have worked as a 3D artist for more than twenty years. What keeps me interested is not only how the images are made, but how the medium got here.

The tools explain only half the picture.

Low-poly portrait of Edwin Miller
Edwin Miller
3D artist & writer

Edwin Miller is a 3D artist with more than two decades of experience. His work has kept him close to the practical side of computer graphics: modelling, lighting, rendering and the long process of turning an idea into a believable image.

But technique is only part of the story. Edwin is equally interested in the history behind the tools — the studios that took improbable risks, the engineers who turned limitations into new methods, and the artists who taught digital forms to carry weight, character and emotion.

Eric3D grew from that curiosity. These essays connect technical breakthroughs with human stories and trace how computer graphics changed film, animation, games and visual culture.
